Dragon Tails

Create a magical dragon tail out of a basic pinch pot! Learn how to stretch and form a pinch pot into a new shape before adding horns, flames, spots, spikes, and more! Participants will learn how to manipulate and form their clay into different shapes and how to securely attach each to their base.  Textures and surface design will be explored before applying to the dragon's tail and surface.

Please note - This workshop is great for kids, but will require parent/guardian assistance for ages under 8. This workshop is designed for and welcomes all experience levels. 

We recommend to bring a towel to wipe hands and any accessories/apparel. Food is not permitted in River Ceramics Studio. Drinks with closed lids are allowed. Projects will be ready for glazing 3 weeks post workshop. An email with a link to book your glazing time will be sent as soon as projects are out of the kiln.

The cost of this workshop includes all materials, firing, and use of Level 1 glazes. For more advanced glazing techniques, please sign up for our Glazing 101 class held once a month on Friday evenings.
