Nature-Inspired Platters

It has been a beautiful summer! Preserve it's essence in a handmade platter that can be used for entertaining or gifting to a friend or loved one. We encourage participants to bring their own selections from nature - leaves, small wildflowers, grasses, and weeds (yes weeds!) print very successfully in clay. Bulky flowers with a lot of volume (such as roses or other thick blooms) are difficult to press, but the petals can be plucked and pressed in! The studio will also supply a variety of field flowers and greens freshly picked for the workshop.

Instructions and demonstrations will be given on how to arrange and press your leaves and flowers to achieve a successful result. Participants can choose from a variety of stencils for the shape of their platter and can choose between leaving their piece completely flat or curving the edges upwards.
