Slab Animal Statues

Learn how to create a three dimensional form and turn it into any animal of your choice using the slab handbuilding technique. Using a single slab to create the basic form, your creativity is what will transform the hollow wedge into your newest garden or shelf decor. 

Instructions and guidance will be provided throughout the duration of the workshop covering how to create the form, add embellishments and designs, create surface texture, and more. Final animal statues will stand about 4-5" tall.  This workshop is designed for all experience levels and is recommended for ages 8+. Please note that this piece is decorative, not functional. Workshop cost includes materials, firing, and up to three glaze colors of your choice. 

Please bring a towel to wipe hands and any accessories/apparel. Food is not permitted in River Ceramics Studio. Drinks with closed lids are allowed. Projects will be ready for glazing 2-3 weeks post workshop. An email with a link to book your glazing time will be sent as soon as projects are out of the kiln.
