Service Description

Create a holiday house to put on display this winter season. Ceramic homes can be used as luminaries (electric candles or twinkle lights recommended) or as a beautiful piece to display on your shelf or mantle. Participants will learn how to build three dimensionally with leather hard clay (prepped before workshop). Those who join this workshop will learn how to bevel and join edges of ceramic forms. Stencils will be provided, but participants may adjust their design as they prefer. Demonstrations and guidance on how to add textures and create cut-outs for windows and doors also provided. This workshop is designed for adults and best suited for those comfortable working with sharp tools and precision. Ages 13+ recommended. Ages 12 and under - adult assistance required. Cost includes all materials, firing, and Level 1 glazing. Please bring a towel to wipe hands and any accessories/apparel. Food is not permitted in River Ceramics Studio. Drinks with closed lids are allowed. Projects will be ready for glazing 2 weeks post workshop. An email with a link to book your glazing time will be sent as soon as projects are out of the kiln.

Cancellation Policy

Please review our rescheduling/cancellation policies before booking. We have these policies in place to provide proper support to the employee(s) and artist(s) booked specifically for your event along with the fact that another customer may have wished to book this event if the space/time was available. We are a small business aiming to provide the best service possible to our guests, patrons, and studio members. To receive a full refund or the option for free rescheduling, the studio must be notified at least 5 days prior to the event date. Any time period less than 5 days but more than 2 days prior to the event will result in a rescheduling/cancellation fee equal to 50% of the cost of your workshop or event. Any refund offered may be subject to a 4% processing fee. We do not allow rescheduling within 48 hours of the class and no refunds will be offered for cancellations.
