Member's Glazing Workshop
Service Description
In this workshop, Brooke will provide an overview on her glazing knowledge. The workshop will serve as an introductory course on the glazes in our studio and how to best use them to get your desired results. Tips and tricks will be covered for both glazes and underglazes. The course will cover why common problems such as pinholes and crazing happen, and how to try to avoid them on your final firing. Brooke will also go over some of her favorite glaze combinations as well as some of the online resources she has found in her research. Participants should come prepared to the workshop with at least one bisqued piece. If you often work with both white and brown clay, come prepared with one white stoneware piece and one brown bisqued piece. You will also be given a white and brown clay body test tile as part of the course.
